I’ve been busy moving for the last week or so, so not much time for posting. Not to mention it being a Herculean task to even get the phone connected, so god knows what getting broadband set up is going to be like.
Anyway, here are some of the things I’m intending to have a look at in the coming months. If anything useful comes out of them, I’ll stick the information up here.
- Get my Wordpress theme(s) finished up
- Have a look at Drupal — I can install this on my web space so it’s going to be worth a look (Plone hosting is still very expensive as far as I can see)
- Look at sIFR
- As a result of discussions on the Web Standards Group email list, assess all the different ways of embedding Flash on a page. I’m sticking with plain old (semantic?) HTML at the moment plus conditional comments for IE, but will get round to having a look at UFO and SWFObject and then write up my thoughts here.
I’m also looking forward to getting my copy of the Principles of Beautiful Web Design (Sitepoint, 2007). I’ll post a review up on Revish and announce it here. Right, just seen a couple of reviews of this listed on some other blogs, must go and check them out…

Hi,
Are you still looking for personal plone hosting?

I’m interested to see what’s out there. I’ve since found some reasonable deals. My main problem at the moment is actually finding the time to do anything about it.

I know what you mean about the lack of time … so many fun things to do and not enough time to do them in!
My work is http://encryptec.net - £10/month for basic plone hosting…
