Forced Migration Online (FMO) hosts resources relating to refugees and forced migration and is managed by a team at the Refugee Studies Centre, in the Oxford Department of International Development, University of Oxford.
I was hired to refresh the visual design of the site which was being redeveloped with a new underlying architecture and CMS (Plone). Although due to time and other pressures my design was not adopted wholesale, elements of it were used to customise Plone’s default theme — these elements include an updated logo, typography, navigation bars and the horizontal and vertical grid layout. I created the CSS for the site which was then integrated into Plone.
